Design that shapes how moments feel
Problem
The event required visual materials that could communicate the emotional weight of the situation to a diverse audience. It was important to create a design that resonated not only with Ukrainians but also with Canadians who might not share the same cultural context. Standard event visuals would not be enough to convey the depth of the message, risking a lack of emotional engagement and impact
The solution was to develop a minimal yet emotionally charged visual approach. The poster and tickets were designed to be simple, but intentionally provocative, using contrast, composition, and restrained elements to evoke a sense of tragedy and reflection. This allowed the design to transcend language and cultural barriers, creating a strong emotional response while remaining clear and accessible to a broader audience.
